This year’s Ghana Club 100 (GC100) awards for the private sector have been slated for the 24th of June by organizers, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). The annual event seeks to promote corporate excellence including both governance and performance by honoring the top 100 companies in this regard. Launching the awards, the Chief Executive of the GIPC, George Aboagye noted the mode of assessment and criteria involving mainly the companies’ size, growth and profitability used last year have been largely maintained. This awards would however be preceded with an Investment seminar rather than a forum as was the case last year due to the recently held African Investor Forum hosted by Ghana. Aboagye further indicated that, the Corporate Social Responsibility aspect which it implemented last year in collaboration with the Ghana Business code is to see some modification. read more
